National Law Firm Expands Sheffield Office

Nationwide law firm Freeths has expanded its Sheffield-based team, established in May this year, with the appointment of a new Partner to its real estate division.

Max Marrison will join the growing South Yorkshire-based operation, working with fellow Partner Peter Baker and Associate Rachel Houghton.

He brings expertise in all aspects of commercial property and transactions including drafting, negotiating and completing development agreements, forward funding agreements and lease agreements.

This new appointment will be the third in as many months for Freeths, with Peter Crawford and Lisa Wallis both joining the corporate team.

Freeths’ Managing Partner for Sheffield, Leeds and Manchester, John May, said: “Freeths has continued to develop the services in Sheffield over the last two years and the addition of Max to the team will only continue to strengthen our foundations."

The firm recently announced the integration of seven-partner Milton Keynes firm Kimbells, as well as Stoke-based legal firm KJD Freeth LLP. It now has a total of nine offices based across the country.
