ROLE OVERVIEW:

This role offers an exciting opportunity to be one of the founding members of the Doncaster team, to play a pivotal role in the creation of the finance function as a whole and focus on making each process as sleek as possible.

The successful candidate will be capable of working as a core member of the Finance team whilst successfully enforcing new procedures across the department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Taking initial ownership over the PO/invoicing system including invoice processing; this process will be delegated in due course
• Provide a wide range of reporting to support understanding of business performance
• Improve transparency of numbers reported
• Monthly management accounts
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Month end journals – accruals and prepayments
• Assisting in preparing budgets
• Ad-hoc project work
• Build relationships between Finance and other areas of the business (factory & wider business including the development team based in Napton)
• Project involvement with process changes and improvements

IN A NUTSHELL:

The successful applicant will become a fundamental part of the team, supporting all aspects of the finance department, looking after aspects of transactional and management accounts whilst also acting as a ‘number 2’ to the FD.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Previous 2-3 years of accounts experience
• Part CIMA or ACCA qualified (or desire to study)
• Good Excel and wider IT skills (including a willingness to learn and develop these)
• Good communication skills – ability to communicate appropriately at all levels to both finance and non-finance colleagues
• Good time management and organisation skills
• Positive attitude
• Professional and confident manner
• Strong level of attention to detail
• Flexible with a can-do attitude
• Proactive and inquisitive nature
