Elevation Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working in partnership with a reputable organisation based in the Sheffield area as they look to expand their team with a knowledgeable & committed Bookkeeper.

The successful candidate will be joining a small, friendly office working closely with the sales team to provide support across a range of duties from transactional finance through to the month-end preparation. You will become part of a close-knit team and have strong managers around you that genuinely care about their staff, their motivations and team moral.

Key responsibilities of the Bookkeeper will include:

•Examination of all incoming invoices, if necessary, together with sales department
•In the case of incorrect or wrong invoice, clarification with supplier
•Processing of reminders and execution of correspondence with suppliers
•Booking of all invoices and entering of cost center
•Accounting and booking of all business transactions
•Coordination of all accounts and the bank stocks
•Creation of annual sales tax returns as well as the monthly sales notices in advance
•Preparation of all regulatory requirements
•Administration of petty cash in cooperation with the individual employees
•Preparation and payoff of travel expense report of all employees
•Asset accounting in SAP
•Asset and booking of capital assets as well as implementation & depreciation runs
•Preparation and provision of reports in SAP for annual financial statement
•Booking of all annual closing entries as specified by external auditor
•Creditworthiness query for customers & suppliers

My client is keen to find someone with the below skills:

•At least 3 years experience within an all-round Accounts Assistant role
•Strong IT skills including knowledge of Excel
•Ability to pick up new tasks and systems quickly
•Hands-on approach and proven ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
•Strong communication skills and telephone manner
•Educated to AAT level (desired but not essential)
