Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working on behalf of Advanced Manufacturing Limited (AML) to recruit a CNC Setter / Operator for their factory on Poplar Way (just off Sheffield Parkway), Rotherham.

AML are a highly specialised components manufacturer and supplier, focussed on aerofoil and rotative components. They are at the leading edge of machining technologies and are dedicated to providing an efficient and low-cost service to their customers across the aerospace, defence, and energy sectors.

The pay rate:

The average annual earnings are c£37,000

£13.35 p/h - rising to £13.85 p/h + shift allowances

20% Shift Allowance on Days / 28.7% Shift Allowance on Nights.

The shift pattern:

Week 1: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday – 12 hour day shift

Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday – 12 hour night shift

Week 3: Monday, Tuesday - 12 hour days – Thursday, Friday – 12 hour Nights


The role:

• Manufacture components using instructions within a production pack
• Ensure all production documentation meets the relevant quality standard
• Support new product introduction (NPI) Feeding back to engineers
• Confirm that finished work meets specifications
• Use tools such as micrometres, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges
• Progress manufacturing in line with production schedule

The successful candidate:

• Setting and operating of CNC Milling machines or Lathes.
• Experience of working with Fanuc, Siemens and Heidenhain would be of an advantage.
• Must have experience of setting up multiple machines simultaneously
• Highly motivated individual
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage own time and workload efficiently
