Job Description

Elevation Recruitment Group Business Support are working with a key client, supporting them with the recruitment of a proactive, highly commercial Land Manager to be fully responsible for land research and acquisition across South Yorkshire.

Reporting directly into the Group Land Director, the Land Manager will be responsible for the acquisition of land across South Yorkshire with a view to securing new sites for development.

Duties & Responsibilities Include:

- Acquisition of land across South Yorkshire
- Securing of new sites for development
- See all acquisitions through the legal process
- Research and attend seminars, conferences and events ensuring you are fully up to date at all times with necessary legislation and any key changes affecting land acquisition
- Create and provide informative, detailed land bids ensuring all workings meet company requirements regarding profitability
- Prepare bids and presentations with full transparency to demonstrate continual compliance for all site acquisition terms proving that they concur with agreed and authorised land bids
- Negotiate and prepare associated legal documentation
- Work proactively and be able to identify issues which may affect existing or future obligations, highlighting these to the Group Land Director
- Brief design teams, external consultants and internal departments with a view to ensuring the successful delivery of planning on sites
- Liaise with legal representatives and advise on the legal status of developments
- Ensure planning is delivered on time, within budget and that all additional service levels are met
- Negotiate planning agreements that meet company requirements in respect of forecast profit

Required Skills & Experience:

- Commercially astute with excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Up to date knowledge of land acquisition legislation
