Job Description


Elevation Office Support are currently recruiting for a Sales Order Processor to work for our client, a well-established manufacturing business based in Sheffield.

The role will suit within and established Sales Team to provide day to day internal customer facing contact. Dealing with all forms of customer communication, making certain the voice of the customer is always heard. To support sales teams whilst they are in the field, enabling them to liaise with customers effectively.

The main responsibilities of the role will include: -

• Receiving, logging and processing customer enquiries
• Preparing customer quotations in a timely and professional manner
• Following up quotations in a timely manner and logging any feedback from the customer on the system
• Responding to customer order progress requests
• Liaise with internal departments (e.g., technical, financial, production), as appropriate
• Associated administration of orders
• Communicate with purchasing department, to gain lead time and price information to enable the customer quotation to be completed
• Advising customers confidently on all options available to them and keeping them up to date on order progress or delays

Person Specification: -

To be considered for this role you must be proficient in using ICT equipment and systems including Microsoft Office programmes, particularly Word and Excel with the ability to work as part of the team and under own initiative as appropriate, within defined authority limits. You must also have the ability to effectively communicate and work with employees and key contacts at all levels, excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to demonstrate good time management skills. You will have the flexibility to meet the expectation of customers and be able to quickly understand the basics of engineered products, their functions and applications.
This is a permanent role with 35 working hours per week which can be flexible Monday – Friday.
