Supply Chain Manager
Lontra, an innovative multi-award-winning engineering technology company, have partnered with Elevation Recruitment Group, to manage the extensive recruitment drive for the set-up and launch of their new £17m smart factory in Doncaster.

ROLE OVERVIEW:
This role offers an exciting opportunity to be one of the founding members of the Doncaster team, to apply your skills to the fast-growing field of clean technology, playing a leading role in the production of a new world-class design of compressor.
The successful candidate will be capable of working as a core member of the manufacturing team whilst ensuring supplier product and process’ quality requirements are met.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will be responsible for ensuring all levels of raw materials in stock are at an acceptable level; driving KPIs across all levels of service and will update regularly with the Operations Team for any stock issues.

- Relationship management: Leading Internal departments incl. Production; Procurement, Planning, Warehousing, Import & Export + External suppliers
- People Management: Outline KPIs for your team; report and track progress; conduct appraisals; support ongoing training and development; management of all personnel related issues for your direct reports incl. recruitment; performance; timekeeping and absence
- Support the wider business with Production; Planning; Engineering and Maintenance in the development of new products; processes; commissioning of new machinery and planned performance and reliability / maintenance to take place
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout and support operational excellence inline with 5s; efficiency; production levels; flexibility; costs & all forms of waste
- Strategy: Curation through to execution as detailed above, highlighting all product and supplier strategic weaknesses


IN A NUTSHELL:
A true End to End Supply Chain Manager position covering Procurement, Planning, Logistics and freight movements.


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

- You will be degree qualified with work experience in a manufacturing environment or strong technical background
- True end to end experience
- Strategic thinker, analytically strong with experience in production; planning; procurement; logistics; continuous improvement, budgets, forecasting, and problem solving
- Demonstrable experience operating at both detailed and strategic level
- Commercially astute; driven with a creative approach
- Motivated with a desire for continuous improvement and techniques
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop both team and business function
- Flexible approach with the ability to work in this ‘hands on’ role
- IT Literate with Microsoft packages
