Elevation raises £2170 for Roundabout Homeless Charity

Elevation Recruitment Group were delighted to be headline sponsors of Roundabout’s annual Sleep Out event, that took place on Friday 12th November 2021.

Taking part in this challenge were 14 members of the Elevation team who swapped their warm beds for a sleeping bag and a hard floor, in a bid to raise money for the charity.

Roundabout is a South Yorkshire youth homeless charity that helps over 300 young people aged between 16-25 every single day. The charity provides shelter, emotional support and offers life skills to help those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, live independently when home is no longer an option.

During the night a number of incredibly brave young people gave the participants a small insight into the challenges they have faced, by sharing their stories and explaining how the charity has and continues to support them.

In addition to our headline sponsorship, we are delighted to announce that we raised a total of £2,170!

Thank you to every single person who donated, your contribution makes a huge impact to the charity and the lives of those at risk of homeless.

Steph Sierny, Divisional Manager who took part in the Sleep Out said: “I am really proud of everyone who took part and incredibly grateful to each person who donated and supported us.

Hearing the stories from the young people whose lives have been changed thanks to Roundabout was truly eye-opening and proved just how vital this charity really is.”

Andy Bath, Senior Director who took part in the Sleep Out said: “Although it wasn't the best night sleep I have ever had, it was all for a very worthwhile cause.

It was very humbling to hear from a couple of the young people that have got back on their feet with the support of Roundabout. They are a fantastic charity, and I am delighted that we were able to raise money for them.

Thank you to everyone who donated - I am already looking forward to getting involved again next year!”
