With more than 115,000 members in 140 countries, the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) is one of the fastest-growing engineering institutions in the world.
First founded in Birmingham in 1847, and now with its headquarters in London, its goal was to ‘give an impulse to invention likely to be useful to the world’, and as it now supports a myriad of industry sectors including Aerospace, Automotive, Biomedical Engineering, Construction and Building Services, Cross Sector Technologies, Manufacturing, Power and Energy, Process and Railway, it is clear to see that it has made considerable progress in its ambitions.
Its ongoing vision is to develop engineers, promote engineering, inform opinion and encourage innovation, and as a recruitment firm with a dedicated engineering division which is focussed on identifying and developing top talent within the sector - with over 70 years of combined experience – we are proud to be a recruitment partner of this continually evolving organisation.
Each year Elevation Recruitment Group work with the Young Members of the IMechE to sponsor the ‘The Speak Out For Engineering” competition, which was originally established in 1964 to challenge young engineers to prove that they could ‘communicate effectively’, which is still an important area for today’s developing engineers.
Those relatively new to the industry are invited to present their work and interests to a panel of judges to help them develop their communication and presentation skills with heat and regional winners awarded prizes from Elevation.
With one of the most credible and well-respected recruitment reputations in the industry, Elevation Recruitment Group prides itself on delivering specialist solutions and technical advice to a wide range of sectors and industries including Aerospace, Automotive, Building Products, Chemical, Electronics, Energy, FMCG, Food and Beverage, Furniture, Glass, Medical, Metals, Nuclear, Oil and Gas, Print and Packaging, Pharmaceutical, Plastic, Precision Engineering, Renewables, and Special Purpose Machinery.
